About Me
Emily Halliday - Wife, Mother, Midwife.
Hey, I am Emily. I am a registered midwife, mother of two and wife.
I have been working in the birth world for over 8 years and qualified as a midwife in 2023. I currently work in the NHS and plan to continue to do so whilst i begin this new venture into independent midwifery. I truly believe that all families deserve a holistic, informed approach to their care, where their decisions are respected and their physiological and psychological needs are met throughout the pregnancy and birth continuum, including the fourth trimester.

I hope that all families can experience the journey into parenthood feeling listened too, supported and knowledgeable, however and wherever they choose to birth their baby.

When I am not midwifing you will find me in the woods somewhere with my children - usually hunting for fungi! Or in the kitchen baking something sweet, there will always be cake. I also am a lover of cloth nappies and baby-wearing.

As a Midwife I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, they are my independent regulator, all practicing midwives must be registered with the NMC.

I have indemnity cover from the Royal College of Nursing, allowing me to practice antenatal and postnatal care privately, including some holistic therapies.

I am now proud to be Zest registered. Zest is a really exciting community to be a part of, they uphold incredible values and provide endless support to independent midwives, being Zest registered also allows me to attend births as a second midwife whilst i am not yet providing birth care.
